Pontotoc County Collector's Coin

The coin was first available in December, 2002, and has become quite popular as a collector's item and as a gift for many occasions.

The coins are a representation of both the county and city as each were established in 1836. The design on the coin was adopted by the Pontotoc County Board of Supervisors and the City of Pontotoc as the official seal of Pontotoc. A Pontotoc flag has also been designed and commissioned using this seal.

The coin is available at either the First National Bank of Pontotoc or the Peoples Bank in Pontotoc at a cost of $10.00 each. All proceeds above the cost of minting the coins has been earmarked to help finance the new Pontotoc County Sportsplex.

The design and emblems on each side of the coin represent and stand for something most precious and special in and about our county.
