My
husband Glen and I have been married for twenty-seven
years. We have a son, Brant. He and his wife Brittany
live in Booneville, Mississippi. We have a daughter,
Cindy, who is married to Paul. They live in New Albany,
Mississippi, and are the parents of our two grandsons.
Wesley is four years old and Hampton is two years
old. A chocolate Labrador who answers to the name
of "Cocoa" and "Punkin" a Siberian
tomcat complete this family picture.
My
husband, Glen, has worked with VF Corporation of Greensboro,
North Carolina, for forty-four years and is planning
to retire this year. I worked for Bank of Mississippi
(now known as BancorpSouth Bank) in Tupelo for several
years before moving to Pontotoc. I was personal secretary
to the bank's Executive Vice President and my duties
included preparation of payroll, handling of Workmen's
Compensation claims, customer service, and general
office work. I also assisted with preparation of mergers
with other banks and with implementation and procedures
for the new banks.
In
the Chancery Clerk's office, I work recording documents,
assisting the public with personal requests, land
redemption, court work and assisting supervisors with
personal requests. I also handle bookkeeping duties
for the Chancery Clerk's accounts.
I
have been a Deputy Chancery Clerk for eighteen years
and find that working with the public is never boring...but
varied and rewarding. In my free time, I enjoy my
grandchildren as well as reading, gardening, writing
and traveling with my husband. |
